Studio Equipment Manager

The Studio Equipment and Gear Manager is tasked with fulfilling the needs of the day-to-day camera, sound, lighting equipment, gear check-outs, and requests, as well as upkeep and maintenance of all company-owned and sub-rented equipment as deemed by Ocean Front Entertainments.
Studio Equipment Manager
The Studio Equipment and Gear Manager is tasked with fulfilling the needs of the day-to-day camera, sound, lighting equipment, gear check-outs, and requests, as well as upkeep and maintenance of all company-owned and sub-rented equipment as deemed by Ocean Front Entertainments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory of production gear and technical equipment of Ocean Front Entertainment and catalog all equipment through Current RMS inventory software.
- Lead the coordination and tracking of all rental, leased, and company production equipment;
- Available during business hours to answer questions or concerns from the field, as well as offer technical resolution or troubleshooting. Available after hours on an emergency basis or by request;
- Clean, maintain, and perform minor repairs to all gear;
- Send gear for repairs that cannot be fixed in-house and coordinate with vendors to negotiate timelines and costs.
- Prepare job quotes and source equipment and gear to accommodate production based on internal pricing; Consult with Producers, Assistant Camera’s, DP’s regarding potential and required equipment needed for production;
- Source gear through outside vendors which cannot be sourced through internal inventory; perform comparative pricing research to present to owners for approval; as well as source gear in other cities for remote shoots upon request;
- Create invoices and manage billing to Production for the gear rentals and purchases;
- Perform tests on all equipment and gear upon rental pick-up and return to the studio to ensure all gear is in working condition, continues to be dependable, and does not require repair;
- Perform equipment research to either replace or add to internal inventory to determine the cost, potential usage, reliability, and compatibility with existing inventory.;
- Purchase equipment to add to internal inventory; perform comparative pricing research before purchase. Pricing and purchasing are to be approved by owners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma;
- Three to five years of production rental experience is required. Technical knowledge is a must.
- Knowledge of Current RMS, Google Drive, and Google Suite is preferred.
Core Competencies:
- The hours for this position are typically 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM unless changed due to domestic travel or additional job functions per request of Production. Hours can be temporarily adjusted with applicable notice;
- This position demands a highly organized and detail-minded candidate with the ability to recall details about shoots and specified needs, equipment information, and inventory;
- Working knowledge of technical and mechanical terminology;
- Knowledge of Camera, Sound, Lighting equipment and its various functions;
- This position requires email and phone correspondence;
- The ability to communicate with in-house staff, field staff, and various vendors to resolve needs and requests, as well as plan future shoots and occasional troubleshooting;
- This position must have a flexible schedule as production needs and equipment requests vary from day to day;
- Light managerial experience is beneficial to the position.
Requirements:
- This position requires heavy physical demands not limited to lifting equipment and Pelican cases that can weigh over 50 pounds.
- This position requires coordinating equipment pickup and drop-offs throughout Los Angeles.
- Must be willing to submit a background check;
- Must have work authorization to work in the United States.

Ocean Front Entertainment is looking for an Assistant Social Media Content Creator to join the team. The individual is responsible for assisting in delivering memorable and disruptive content for the brand as well as helping attract and engage new clients. The position will work with the Social Media Coordinator to ideate and deploy creative concepts for all our social platforms. We are looking for an organized team player with a fun and creative mind who can identify trends, understands how to create content across all channels, and develop new content formats to support the Brand and attract new clients.
Assistant Social Media Content Creator
Ocean Front Entertainment is looking for an Assistant Social Media Content Creator to join the team. The individual is responsible for assisting in delivering memorable and disruptive content for the brand as well as helping attract and engage new clients. The position will work with the Social Media Coordinator to ideate and deploy creative concepts for all our social platforms. We are looking for an organized team player with a fun and creative mind who can identify trends, understands how to create content across all channels, and develop new content formats to support the Brand and attract new clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns and support overall company brand strategy
- Create performance-driven, engaging content to further develop social presence and community through innovative formats that are aligned with the Brand values and vision across all social media channels
- Plan, edit, copy write and execute content aligned with the monthly focus and overall social strategy with a strong understanding of how to optimize content for each channel
- Create fast, digestible visual content via prosumer cameras, both video and still, along with mobile devices to create company or client information into social media content (short-form videos, Reels, Stories, BTS)
- Participate on set during Brand/Creative photoshoots to capture BTS content
- Provide analytics for monthly reports and recommend opportunities based on key learnings
- Present new disruptive content formats and evolve our Brand’s social identity
- Follow the ever-changing social media landscape to keep the Brand relevant and on-trend
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of social media and marketing experience
- Comfortable on camera, visual storytelling, and proficient with apps and filters to quickly edit content
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
- Proficiency on all social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and understanding of the trends and nuances of how to create content for each channel
- Passionate about Beauty, Haircare, and Fashion, with a strong eye for content and trends
- Highly motivated, proactive, and organized individuals who can consistently contribute new ideas and work independently
- Imaginative and creative
- Must be in the Los Angeles area
